Troubleshooting

Unknown execution outcome

Check WordPress before retrying a change whose result is uncertain.

WORDPRESS_EXECUTION_OUTCOME_UNKNOWN means MoraWP cannot confirm the result of a dispatched operation. A timeout after dispatch does not establish that WordPress made no changes.

Pause repeated changes

Keep the website, Ability, time, original parameters, and request identifier where available. Do not immediately resend a create, update, delete, PHP, or WP-CLI operation.

Inspect the target

  • For creation, check whether the expected item already exists.
  • For an update, read the specific fields and compare them with the intended values.
  • For deletion, check the item and its trash state as appropriate.
  • For settings or code, ask the website administrator to inspect the affected area.

Use read operations where possible. Do not run another broad change merely to diagnose the first one.

Interpret the response

executionStarted describes dispatch. mayHaveExecuted signals possible execution; outcomeKnown describes certainty; retrySafe is retry guidance. A known failure response still does not promise that every multi-step operation was rolled back.

Once the real state is established, decide whether any work remains. If it is still uncertain, stop and ask for help. A fresh request after reconnecting is a new attempt, not a guarantee against duplicates.
