Rules
Rules are short notes your team writes for AI Agents: the tone and language to write in, naming conventions, the category new posts go in, or what an Agent must never change without asking. Every Agent connected to the Workspace reads them before it works on a website.
Rules are guidance only. They never turn on an Ability, widen an Agent's access, or override MoraWP's safety controls.
Workspace rules and Website rules
- Workspace rules apply to every website in the Workspace. Manage them in the Workspace's Settings.
- Website rules apply to one website. Manage them on the website's page.
When a Website rule and a Workspace rule disagree, Agents follow the Website rule. Within a conversation, your latest instruction to the Agent comes first.
Write a rule
Each rule is written in Markdown, up to 2,000 characters. Keep each rule to one topic, so it is easy to update later. For example:
Write blog posts in Modern Standard Arabic, in a friendly but professional tone.
Never change product prices or stock without asking first.
Rules can't contain passwords, API keys, tokens or links that carry them. MoraWP refuses a rule that looks like a secret.
You can also ask an Agent to save a rule for you, for example "From now on, always add new posts as drafts. Save that as a rule." Agents save, change or delete rules only when you ask, and the change shows who made it.
Who can write rules
| Person | Workspace rules | Website rules |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Yes | Yes |
| Member | Only when the owner turns on Manage Workspace rules for them | For the websites they have access to |
The owner is notified when a member or an Agent changes a rule. The owner can turn this notice off in Preferences.
Plans and limits
Rules are available on paid plans.
| Plan | Rules per Workspace | Rules per website |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Not available | Not available |
| Plus | 100 | 30 |
| Pro | 200 | 60 |
Workspace rules and Website rules count together toward the Workspace total.
After a downgrade
If the Workspace moves to a plan with a lower limit, or to Free, the rules over the new limit are hidden for 30 days, newest first. Hidden rules are not shown to your team or to Agents. Upgrade within those 30 days and they come back automatically. After 30 days, hidden rules are deleted permanently.
The owner is notified when rules are hidden, and again 7 days before they are deleted.
Continue with Access modes or Plans and billing.
