Claude
Use a remote connection for Claude web or Desktop. For the terminal app, use Claude Code instead.
Before you begin
Connect your WordPress website first. Your Claude account or organization must allow custom remote connections. An organization administrator may need to add the service before members can use it.
Add MoraWP in Claude
- Open Customize → Connectors in Claude. This is Claude's name for its external-service settings.
- Choose Add → Add custom connector, name it MoraWP, and enter:
https://api.morawp.com/mcp - Continue to authentication. Choose Sign in now and, if Claude offers an OAuth client choice, Register automatically. Leave request headers empty.
- Follow the browser sign-in and approve access in MoraWP.
- Finish adding the connection in Claude.
For an organization-managed account, connect to the MoraWP service your administrator added rather than creating another copy.
Enable it in your chat
Open a conversation. Use + → Connectors and turn on MoraWP for that chat. Then ask:
Use MoraWP to list the websites I allowed for this connection.
Do not create, edit, delete, or publish anything.
Check: Claude uses MoraWP and returns the expected website. Continue with Read one page to verify WordPress access.
If it does not work
| What you see | Next step |
|---|---|
| Custom connection controls are unavailable | Check Claude account and organization policy with your administrator. |
| MoraWP is added but Claude does not use it | Enable MoraWP in the current conversation. |
| Sign-in fails or approval expires | Start a fresh sign-in; see Agent connection problems. |
| A website or action is missing | Review Missing Abilities. |
To stop access, Disconnect the Agent in MoraWP and remove the connection from Claude's settings. See Manage Agents.
Claude's interface and account policies can change. These instructions were checked against Claude's remote connection guide on October 9, 2026.
