Reference

Error reference

Find the next check for common MoraWP execution failures.

Use the response's code, message, and execution information together. An error category alone is not a root-cause diagnosis.

Input and discovery

  • MCP_TOOL_INPUT_INVALID: inspect the MCP tool's argument schema.
  • MCP_ABILITY_NOT_FOUND: call list_abilities for this website and use its returned ID.
  • MCP_DRY_RUN_UNSUPPORTED: the operation cannot be previewed this way. Do not automatically remove dry_run from a change.

Use describe_ability for the current Ability parameters. Plugin-specific codes can add detail; do not assume every WordPress failure is an invalid ID.

Access

  • AGENT_ABILITY_MODE_DENIED: the Agent's mode does not permit the operation.
  • TOOL_PACK_NOT_GRANTED: this connection does not have the required Toolkit.
  • ABILITY_DISABLED or SITE_TOOL_DISABLED: the applicable Workspace or website configuration withholds the Ability.
  • DANGEROUS_TOOLS_DISABLED: high-impact work is blocked by the platform's incident control.

Review Access denied. Repeating the same request does not change authorization.

Compatibility and WordPress

  • MORAWP_PLUGIN_INCOMPATIBLE: inspect the required version in the response, then update and rediscover.
  • WORDPRESS_MORAWP_TOOL_FAILED: inspect the actual response and WordPress state; it is a general failure category.
  • WORDPRESS_EXECUTION_OUTCOME_UNKNOWN: a dispatched change may have happened. Inspect the target before any retry.

Follow WordPress tool failed or Unknown execution outcome.

Usage and commercial access

  • PLAN_LIMIT_EXCEEDED: check get_account and Usage & Limits for the current Workspace.
  • SUBSCRIPTION_INACTIVE: the owner should review commercial access; members should contact the owner.

These are Agent-facing codes. The Dashboard or an HTTP API may use different domain codes for the same boundary.

Execution fields

executionStarted, mayHaveExecuted, outcomeKnown, and retrySafe describe what MoraWP can establish about execution. actionRequired identifies whether the Agent, a user, or an administrator must act. Do not infer a rollback or billing refund from a generic error.
