Connect an Agent

JetBrains Junie

Use Junie's interactive MCP setup and understand the IDE settings boundary.

CLI interactive setup

Start Junie and open /mcp. Use the installation assistant to add a remote HTTP server:

Name: morawp
URL: https://api.morawp.com/mcp

Select the server's Authorize control and complete browser OAuth. Junie's current CLI guide documents remote authentication through this assistant.

JetBrains IDE interface

Open Settings → Tools → Junie → MCP Settings. The list shows configured servers, connection status, and available tools. Global entries are saved to ~/.junie/mcp/mcp.json; project entries use .junie/mcp/mcp.json.

The IDE plugin's authentication documentation differs from the CLI reference. A shared file location does not prove that an installed IDE version can finish MoraWP's OAuth flow. If the plugin lacks that authorization control, use the CLI's supported flow; do not substitute the plugin guide's Docker environment-variable workaround.

Remote web sessions

Junie's remote-mode documentation limits /mcp to the terminal interface. Configure the execution environment from the terminal before using its web view; do not assume the web UI has the same settings assistant.

If it does not work

Inspect the server's status and tools. A configured server without an OAuth grant is not ready to read WordPress. A vendor tool limit can also hide tools independently of MoraWP access.

Approve and check access

First connect a WordPress website in MoraWP. When the client opens sign-in, review the Workspace, websites, and Ability access before approving. Read only limits changes; enabled Integrations may still expose private fields. No static Agent key is needed.

In a new session with MoraWP enabled, ask:

Use MoraWP to list the websites this connection can access.
Do not create, edit, delete, or publish anything.

Check: the intended website appears. Then read one page to check WordPress access. A configured server alone is not proof of a working read.

For missing tools, see Missing Abilities. To stop access, disconnect the Agent in MoraWP and remove its local server entry. Local removal alone is not MoraWP revocation.
