Member permissions
A Workspace has one owner. The owner decides which websites and ability groups each member can reach, and turns on extra permissions for each member one at a time. Each permission starts off.
What only the owner can change
Workspace access on the Abilities page (Recommended, Read only, Full access) and the ability groups under it apply to every website and Agent in the Workspace. Only the owner can change them.
Members still see this page so they know what Agents may do, but the choices are shown locked. If a member opens an ability group, they can read it, but they cannot switch anything there.
What a member can change
Two permissions let a member change Abilities for a website. A member can only use them on websites the owner has shared with them:
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Change ability settings | Change which abilities Agents may use on a website, from that website's page. |
| Turn on high-risk abilities | Together with Change ability settings, also turn on high-impact abilities on a website. |
To use them, open Websites, choose the website, then Change permissions. A website can only narrow what the Workspace allows, never go beyond it.
Without Turn on high-risk abilities, a member can still change other abilities on a website. Any choice that would turn a high-impact ability on is blocked until the owner, or a member allowed to, does it.
Without Change ability settings, the website page shows what Agents may do there with Only the owner can change this.
Using is different from changing
These permissions are only about changing settings. A member's own Agents can use any ability that is already on for a website the member can reach, including high-impact ones, if every other rule allows it.
Asking for access
If you need to change something you can't, ask the Workspace owner. They can change it themselves, or give you Change ability settings or Turn on high-risk abilities in Settings → Team.
