IDE extension
MCP tools are used in Agent mode. Add a remote server to your existing Continue YAML configuration:
mcpServers:
- name: MoraWP
type: streamable-http
url: https://api.morawp.com/mcp
Merge this into the active assistant's configuration; do not replace the models or other settings. Reload the configuration, open Agent mode, and authorize the server through Continue's MCP authentication control.
Continue's MCP OAuth implementation opens a browser and saves authorization for the server. If the installed extension does not offer authentication, check its version rather than adding a static bearer token.
CLI
Continue's terminal client is cn. In an interactive session, /mcp manages its MCP servers. Check the active assistant and server configuration there separately from your IDE.
cn login signs into Continue, not MoraWP. A Continue account login alone does not approve WordPress access. If the CLI cannot complete the remote server's browser OAuth, use the IDE flow.
If it does not work
Confirm Agent mode, the active assistant, and Streamable HTTP. If a localhost callback fails, check for another process using the callback port and retry from the same computer. Do not broaden MoraWP permissions to solve a client-side connection failure.
Approve and check access
First connect a WordPress website in MoraWP. When the client opens sign-in, review the Workspace, websites, and Ability access before approving. Read only limits changes; enabled Integrations may still expose private fields. No static Agent key is needed.
In a new session with MoraWP enabled, ask:
Use MoraWP to list the websites this connection can access.
Do not create, edit, delete, or publish anything.
Check: the intended website appears. Then read one page to check WordPress access. A configured server alone is not proof of a working read.
For missing tools, see Missing Abilities. To stop access, disconnect the Agent in MoraWP and remove its local server entry. Local removal alone is not MoraWP revocation.
