Understand Roo Code's discontinued extension and manage existing MoraWP access.

Roo Code's official documentation says its extension shut down on May 15, 2026. Do not start a new MoraWP setup using instructions for the discontinued extension.

Choose a maintained client

Roo Code remains a named option in MoraWP's app picker, but that label does not guarantee the vendor still operates the product. Use a maintained client such as Cline, Cursor, or Claude Code.

Each replacement needs its own server setup and MoraWP approval. A Roo Code connection does not automatically transfer to another app.

Existing installations and forks

A legacy installation or community fork can behave differently from the discontinued product. Before connecting it, verify that its own current documentation supports Streamable HTTP and browser OAuth. Use https://api.morawp.com/mcp only after confirming that support.

Do not copy old static Agent keys, paste session tokens, or assume a fork shares Roo Code's settings and authentication.

Remove old access

Open Agents in the MoraWP Workspace, identify the old connection, and choose Disconnect if it should no longer have access. Then remove its server entry from the legacy client. Disconnecting does not undo changes it already made.
